Craft Gems

Diablo 4's jeweler NPCs craft gems for gold fee. You can find and craft many gem types, all of which have their own stats, depending on the Gear slot they are socketed into. In general, each gem will give damage to your weapons, defensive stats to your armor, and resistance to your jewelry. The higher the quality of the gems created, the higher the cost to the jeweler.

Add Sockets

You're in luck if you come across a superb piece of gear that doesn't generate sockets. Jewelers are able to add sockets to equipment (up to the amount allowed) at a higher gold cost. Depending on its physical size, each sort of item can only fit into one or two sockets. The following list reveals which slots can be and how many sockets they can have.

  • Cap - 1 Socket
  • Tunic - 2 Sockets
  • Pants - 2 Sockets
  • Amulet - 1 Socket
  • Ring - 1 Socket
  • 1-Handed Weapon - 1 Socket
  • 2-Handed Weapon - 2 Sockets
  • Bow - 2 Sockets
  • Focus - 1 Socket

Unsocket Gems

The gems in your current gear can be upgraded, or you can swap to a different gem to gain a stat you don't already have. Nonetheless, the gems must be taken out by a jeweler. The player will receive the item plus the (now-separated) gem after paying a gold fee dependent on the item's power. The gold cost increases as the power of the Item you equip increases.

Upon receiving more information about Jeweler Gems, we will update this article.
